The Great Wall of China meets the sea on the east coast of China. At the other end in the far west, the wall is in a desert landscape.

The Great Wall meets the sea on the east coast of China at Shanhai pass.  At the opposite end of the country in the far north west in Gansu Province, is a famous fort at Jiayuguan, where the wall ends in the Gobi Desert.
